We are currently looking for Mobile Park Rangers to join our successful Parks and Open spaces team. Following another successful year as winners of the Green Flag Awards, our Parks and Opens spaces team are dedicated to creating colourful, friendly and clean spaces for Redbridge residents to enjoy.

We are currently looking for Mobile Park Rangers to help expand our service. The right candidate will be a team player, happy to be outdoors in all weather, approachable and willing to learn.

Located at the heart of Redbridge communities, our parks and open spaces host a range of diverse events throughout the year including music, fair grounds, sporting events and community events. Alongside this our parks and open spaces are used all the time for dog walking, picnics, exercising, sports, bike riding, reading and various other activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Cleansing: Litter picking and other outdoor site cleansing duties
Proficiently operate a range of machinery and power tools for park maintenance.
Implement amenity landscaping and various maintenance projects.
Undertake horticultural responsibilities, including planting, weeding, mulching, and pruning.
Engage and collaborate with community and volunteer groups to promote active, healthy lifestyles.
Work closely with the Adjutant to Parks and Open Spaces to organise and support various events.
Oversee the maintenance of hard surfaces, leaf removal, litter picking, and conduct essential Health and Safety checks.
Uphold strict safety and quality standards in all activities.


Essential requirements:

Experience in park maintenance or a similar outdoor role.

Proficiency in operating power tools and performing amenity landscaping.

Demonstrable horticultural skills.

Strong problem-solving abilities.

A valid driving licence.

Working Hours and Conditions:

The regular working hours consist of early and late working shifts that are rotated on a weekly basis.
Weekend duties: This role includes working during weekends, particularly to support peak park usage.
Seasonal late working hours: Expect late working hours during peak seasons (spring/summer) to accommodate extended daylight and increased park activities.
