Base Location: Poole Hospital
Interview Date: TBC
We are looking for an experienced Clinical/Counselling Psychologist who will be involved in training and clinical supervision of healthcare professionals and able to offer placement to Clinical or Counselling Psychologist on Doctoral courses. We are also looking for someone who will fit in well with our compassionate and dedicated team. You will need to be flexible and open-minded as we develop our services across the Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole area in line with the recent merger of the acute hospitals, and the transformation agenda. The postholder would be expected to work across the 3 main sites in Poole, Bournemouth and Christchurch. Our services provide a range of modalities to support our service users and you will be open to working with people face-to-face, via telephone and via video.
Our values define who we are as #TeamUHD. They underpin everything we do now and in the future. They define how we treat our patients, visitors, and each other, our valued teammates and colleagues.
UHD are investing in services across the Trust, with many being transformed and developed following merger and the New Hospital Programme.
This means that some services may move site this year or next, either temporarily or long term. Recruiting Managers interviewing for this role will be happy to answer any specific questions that you have about this at interview.
Although this post is advertised at a Band 8a, we would welcome applications from newly- or recently-qualified Psychologists for a Preceptorship role at Band 7, with progression to 8a once requirements are fulfilled. Full support will be given.
