Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time (22.5 hours) IFR administrator to join the Arden & GEM CSU Individual Funding Request (IFR) team.

The formal/nominal base will at Haylock House, Kettering, Northamptonshire and the candidate will need to live within a commutable distance. Training will take place face to face and thereafter will be predominantly working from home with occasional working from the office, therefore a secure, confidential homeworking environment is essential for the role.

This challenging and rewarding post offers an opportunity to work with the Arden & GEM team in supporting the administration and data entry process of NHS funding applications for Northamptonshire ICB. The aim of the IFR service is to assess funding applications for procedures against ICB policy criteria.

The post would ideally suit an experienced NHS administrator/data entry clerk who is able to work under pressure, to tight deadlines with attention to detail and deliver excellent customer service. As the role is predominantly home based, it would suit someone who is self motivated and can work effectively with minimal supervision.

The interview will consist of a short word and excel exercise followed by a face to face interview at Haylock House in Kettering, Northamptonshire.

The post holder will be responsible for accurate inputting and maintaining data on data systems, together with the associated correspondence, ensuring a flexible/adaptable approach to their work in order to meet various deadlines and targets.

Candidates should possess good organisational and communication skills. You must be confident in completing tasks using your own initiative. Good sound knowledge of all Microsoft office packages, and excellent data inputting skills are essential.

Attention to detail, the ability to prioritise your own workload effectively and work unsupervised is also essential. You must have a good understanding of confidentiality and data protection.

• Act as a point of contact for the department, dealing with and responding effectively to enquiries of a sensitive nature in a pleasant and helpful manner, communicating relevant information to patients and stakeholders sensitively and autonomously. This will involve adapting communication to consider others culture, background and preferred way of communicating.
• Foster and maintain constructive relationships with a broad range of internal and external colleagues and agencies using own initiative when dealing with e-mails and messages so that accurate information is passed on to the appropriate person in an efficient and effective manner.
• To be responsible for entering all new funding requests onto the clinical funding request database in an accurate, consistent and timely manner for data quality purposes. Ensuring information is kept and transferred securely but accessible.
• To be responsible for updating funding request statuses on the funding database and highlighting and potential breaches or problems to the team leader
• To be responsible for writing to NHS clinicians informing them of Panel outcomes, next steps and process for review. Then updating the funding database accordingly
• To be responsible for validating and archiving applications on the clinical funding database to ensure data is accurate and of high quality
• Ensure all urgent and/or confidential communications are received and distributed from/to relevant parties in a timely manner.
• The post holder will carry out any other duties as may reasonably be required by their line manager.
