Summary

Senior Quantity Surveyor (EPC and Tier 1 Construction Experience Required)

Salary: £70,000- £75,000 + Benefits

Location: Hull

I'm currently recruiting for a leading player in the construction industry, specialising in large-scale projects across various sectors. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in both EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects and Tier 1 construction, with a proven track record of delivering successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full spectrum of quantity surveying duties, including cost estimation, procurement, contract administration, and cost control.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met within budgetary constraints.
  • Conduct thorough cost analysis and risk assessments to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed progress reports, budget forecasts, and financial statements for senior management and clients.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to secure favourable terms and conditions.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior members of the quantity surveying team, fostering their professional development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in a similar role, with a focus on EPC projects and Tier 1 construction.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard quantity surveying software and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Professional accreditation (e.g., MRICS) is preferred but not essential.
