Summary

Job Advertisement: Senior Support Worker

Location: East London
Service Users: Service users to be confirmed upon location confirmation.
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Shift pattern - Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM / 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, with 1 Saturday per month
Car Driver Needed: Yes
Own Vehicle Needed: Yes
Valid Business Insurance: Yes

Main Duties:
As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and supporting teams across the area in matters of practice, quality, performance, compliance, and resource management. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a senior operational practitioner, providing guidance and support to teams, carrying a caseload of complex need service users.
  • Line managing support workers for temporary periods, deputizing for Service Leads, and supporting targeted services.
  • Coordinating the provision of direct housing-related support and housing management services to improve the lives of service users.
  • Liaising with area operational and central support teams, as well as external agencies and partners, to ensure comprehensive support is provided.
  • Undertaking lone working in the community and/or service settings as required.
  • Reporting to Anthony Stewart and providing regular updates on caseload management, service delivery, and any issues or concerns.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS clearance covering adults.
  • Previous experience in a senior support worker or similar role, with a proven ability to guide and support teams effectively.
  • Strong understanding of housing-related support services and housing management practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Valid UK driver's license and access to a vehicle with valid business insurance.
