Summary

The role will include evening, weekend shifts and sleep in duties on a rota basis. You will support with our client with her rehabilitation programme, to increase her independence, both at home and in the community. The role will include personal and domestic care, therapy exercises as advised by a therapy team, social and leisure outings. Training can be provided for the right candidate and regular supervisions will take place to support you. *We require Female Support Workers due to the occupational requirements of the client making this role compliant with Paragraph 1, Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010 What you'll be working: 28.5 hours per week plus 10 hours sleep in per week What you will be doing: Assist the client to exercise choice and control over their own lives as far as they are able in everyday matters but taking into consideration cognitive problems Liaise with and support the family as required Assist the client with personal care as needed Supporting the client to use local amenities such as shops and leisure facilities and attend community events Follow the service user plan as documented for the client Maintain accurate and confidential records Participate in manual handling procedures as specified for the client Maintain professional boundaries with the client and their family members, adhering to direction from the case manager as appropriate For an informal discussion about this role please contact us on 01661 845960 or email recruitment@jspsh.co.uk quoting ref: NE/HG/RS/0124 What to look forward to: 5.6 weeks annual leave pro rata Automatic enrolment into a pension scheme with True Potential Paid sickness after successful probationary period and, of course, the support and guidance of our qualified clinical and business leadership teams so that you can really develop your career About us: JSP Ltd provides an essential service to both adults and children who have suffered brain and spinal injury. The company was established in 1994 and is now a successful rehabilitation and case management consultancy, working in close co-operation with the legal profession. We now have five offices employing around 80 staff. We manage over 400 support workers and provide services to just under 400 clients nationally. JSP are not an employment agency, we help our clients to recruit their own support workers as part of our case management service, You will be employed directly by the client,however, JSP oversee all aspects of the clients care package on her behalf.
