Summary

Meet our Client: Our client is alady in her 50s who had a brain injury a number of years ago, due to this she haspoor short-term memory andsome challenging behaviours.She is independently mobile and can communicate fully. She requires prompting and supervising with her personal care, making meals and day to day activities. You will engage with the client in their home and with activities, she lovesmusic, the theatre, jigsaws, puzzles, and movies. Any applicant needs to have patience and empathy. A background in ABI/support work is desirable but not essential. *Please note we are recruiting Female Support Workers due to a genuine occupational requirement of the person we support therefore this role is exempt from the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9 What you'll be working: 16 hours per week On a shift rota basis which can include Weekdays, Weekends and Sleep Ins What you will be doing: Assist the client to exercise choice and control over their own lives as far as they are able in everyday matters but taking into consideration cognitive problems Liaise with and support the family as required Assist the client with personal care as needed Supporting the client to use local amenities such as shops and leisure facilities and attend community events Follow the service user plan as documented for the client Maintain accurate and confidential records Participate in moving andhandling procedures as specified for the client Maintain professional boundaries with the client and their family members, adhering to direction from the case manager as appropriate CCMS are not an employment agency, we help our clients to recruit their own support workers as part of our case management service, You will be employed directly by the client,however, CCMS oversee all aspects of the clients care package on her behalf. CCMS offer a bespoke Case Management Service for people of all ages, with a particular emphasis on those recovering from acquired brain injuries. Ultimately our aim is to empower and support people to reach their full potential and maximize their rehabilitation opportunities in order to promote the best quality of life
