Summary

Location: Norwood Industrial Estate, Ellisons Road, Killamarsh, Sheffield S21 2JG

Salary - Competitive plus entry to the bonus scheme(after qualification period).

Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:30-17:00 (30 minute break)



We are looking for a highly motivated person to join our Hazardous Logistics Department at Norwood, in the role of Transport Manager to manage around 15 drivers and 2 staff members reporting to you.

What will you be doing?

  • Managing and motivating a mobile workforce (circa 15 drivers) to produce an effective business performance.
  • Communicating to all drivers either directly or via delegation the requirement workflow instructions.
  • Manage and in some part assisting in ensuring all drivers paperwork is supplied to ensure a first class service.
  • Liaising, collaborating and challenging planning - all in equal measures whilst generating good relations with this department.
  • Covering on call duty phone(drivers direct communication out of hours).
  • Supporting the administration department with regards to month end reporting, ie driver related paperwork and timesheets.
  • Ensuring that all drivers are compliant with EU and working time directive regulations.
  • Ensuring that all accidents/incidents are reported/investigated in a timely manner.
  • Managing compliance of all maintenance of equipment at Norwood.
  • Compliance with all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Compliance with all Veolia policies and procedures.
  • Deputising for Regional Operations Manager during holiday or sickness on all direct operational matters.



What are we looking for?

  • CPC essential
  • Computer literate
  • National geographic knowledge
  • Knowledge of ADR/Transport regulations desirable
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Excellent organisational skills
