Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Endoscopy team at Weston General Hospital as part of the expanding Pre-Assessment service within University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW).

This is for a permanent position for a Band 5 Registered Nurse 20 hours per week. Shared hours will also be considered.

The hours will be delivered between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays.

The post holder will be responsible for telephone triaging patient’s pre-endoscopy procedure and ensuring any necessary medication or healthcare adjustments are implemented in preparation for their planned procedure. The post holder will need to work closely with the Pre-Assessment team at the Bristol Queens Day Unit site and support integration of services.

The successful candidate will be expected: To work independently and liaise with various multi-disciplinary team members in and out of the Trust. To assess and appropriately guide patients with a range of acute and chronic medical conditions, in line with National and Trust guidance. To ensure patients' are physically and psychologically prepared safely prior to their Endoscopy.

The role involves prioritising your workload, whilst meeting deadlines to ensure patients receive the timely and responsive care required to safely proceed with their procedure.
