Summary
Weston Hospital is offering an exciting opportunity for a hybrid role providing educational consistency over Wards and Theatres.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and implementing the in-service training and continuing professional education of nursing staff within Weston Hospital alongside Ward/Theatre Managers and existing Practice Education Facilitators. They will be responsible for coordinating the development of evidence-based practice and incorporating identified educational needs to meet complex service requirements within Weston Hospital. The ideal candidate will maintain a noticeable clinical presence enabling staff to achieve their professional objectives.
The post holder will be expected to primarily work core Monday – Friday hours – This post can be part time or a Job Share.
· To provide and maintain a noticeable clinical presence, working alongside nursing and healthcare staff, enabling all staff to achieve their professional objectives.
· To provide support and development for the whole nursing workforce within Weston Hospital encompassing wards and theatres.
· To assist the Lead Practice Education Facilitator with the development and implementation of programmes of education and training and to maintain a database of staff development.
· Provide education and training to multidisciplinary team staff and assist in the delivery of training programmes for nurses to expand their skills.
· To facilitate and support staff retention by ensuring clinical support, progressive job satisfaction and opportunities for staff personal development.
· Support and facilitate staff to identify opportunities for maintaining and improving standards of patient care.
· In collaboration with the Lead Practice Education Facilitator to promote a quality service using research and evidence based practice.
