Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic midwife to develop their leadership skills as a Community based Team leader . This exciting Band 7 Team leader post will provide the opportunity to develop leadership skills, learn about operational management of the teams , develop skills in rostering, PDR s and day to day operational management of the unit. The post holder will hold a small caseload of women whilst providing clinical leadership for a team of midwives based in the community

We are seeking a highly motivated midwife to join the community teamas a Band 7 Team leader. As a clinical leader you will also hold a small caseload of women . You will be responsible for providing clinical and visible leadership to a team of midwives . Your role will include roster management, Personal development reviews , ensuring training needs of midwives are met and supporting the maternity service to meet National Transformation requirements.

In order to apply for this position you should have significant midwifery experience in all areas of Maternity care and will need to demonstrate proven clinical skills and abilities.

You will be responsible for ensuring the day to day coordination of the teams and managerial support . You will also be responsible for working with the senior management team to support the implementation of Better Births and personalised Care.

You will provide leadership by example, monitor standards and support colleagues in their practice. You will have excellent communication and time management skills and be able to balance competing priorities effectively. You will be forward thinking and act as a change agent working with the senior management team to develop the services we provide.

To provide visible leadership, engagement and day to day management of community services.


To manage a small caseload of women.

You will be responsible for ensuring the day to day coordination of the community midwifery service and provide managerial support when required to other Maternity teams.

You will be responsible for ensuring staff are up to date with mandatory training requirements and Personal development reviews.


You will also be responsible for working with the senior management team to support further implementation of National Maternity Transformation requirements.
