Summary


We are looking for enthusiastic and highly motivated qualified phlebotomists to join both our busy Barts Phlebotomy Teams at St. Bartholomew Hospital. You will support this team and site operations to ensure challenges are given responsive attention to effectively ensure the flow of blood tests is maintained, engaging with both our in-patients and out-patients, as well as external stakeholders.

Our Phlebotomists will provide a flexible day to day service working either part of either the In-patient or Out-patient phlebotomy team or across both on a rotation. You will work under a phlebotomy team leader who will task work to you or you will work in a phlebotomy room in out-patients supporting the outpatient service of patients attending their appointments and requiring a blood test. Patient flow is paramount to the effective running of clinics and testing to aid diagnosis. Phlebotomy comes under the direction of the Head of Clinical Site Management who oversees the running of hospital on a 24/7 basis, supported by Clinical Site Managers flow. The phlebotomist will have an integral role, from implementing the trust core WeCare values to deliver a high standard of customer service, to giving a service where customer service, compassion and a welcoming approach shows your professionalism.

This role is vital in the delivery of operational performance of blood testing on all our in-patients that are in the hospital to have a blood testing to support ongoing treatments and diagnosis’s.

Supporting patient flow and support to other clinical colleagues
and working with the site leadership team to perform to a very high standard. We require someone who is a team player, with excellent communication skills and who visibly enjoys the challenges that the Phlebotomy role provides.
