Our client Dorset Waste Partnership Weymouth Depot, are seeking a VAN DRIVER - RESORTS CLEANSING to join them on a temporary summer contract. You will be working in a team of two, working together to ensure the towns, tourist hot spots and harbour areas are clean and safe for the public. The role involves driving to locations from West Bay to Lyme Regis, litter picking, emptying bins located where the main refuse trucks can not access during the summer months. Customer service is key during this role as on occasion members of the public will approach you for information as you will be in Council uniform. This role is a key service during the summer to ensure the towns and beaches in Dorset remain stunning. Working in all weathers. You must be a team player.
Rota Working hours:
April to July – Non Peak – Part time 7.50 to 28.50 hours per week
July to Sept – Peak – Full time, 3 days on, 3 days off, 36 to 48 hours per week
Rota includes weekends & Bank holidays
Shifts 06.00am to 14.00pm, 06.00am to 16.30pm and then 06.00am to 19.00pm
Opportunity to work on refuse during the winter months if you wish to return following season.
You must hold:
• Full Manual UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points
• Passport or Birth Certificate with National Insurance Number Proof
