Protocol Education are recruiting an unqualified learning support assistant to work in schools across Newcastle. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to gather the essential experience of working in schools to contribute to your future career goals. After your first role, the experience and training you recieve will be invaluable if you're keen to work in education.
This role is perfect for those who have a passion for working with children, in schools, and aiding in the progression and success of students. This is a rewarding role where you can create a lasting memory in children's lives for helping them grow and develop into respectful and prosperous young adults. Experience or Personal Experience working with children or educated to a degree level is preferable.
You will be support students who have a range of SEND conditions along with those who suffer with SEMH disorders. Candidates should be empathetic and have a good understanding of how to support students with SEND and SEMH.
This role will begin on a temporary/ trial bases however our educator do secure long term roles within one school.
Requirements & Responsibilities
• Right to work in the UK.
• Full Time Placement (Mon-Fri 8:30-3:30)
• Aid the teacher in daily activities e.g. , equipment handling, help students, assist with the teacher's schedule.
• Work with children with SEND needs.
• Experience working with children is preferable (not required).
• Play a role in the social and academic development of impressionable students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
