Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)

About Us: We are a vibrant and inclusive primary school located in Raunds, dedicated to providing exceptional education and support for all our students. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team and provide 1:1 support to a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Role Overview: As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a child with ASD, providing tailored 1:1 support to meet their individual needs. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and will be able to effectively manage and support challenging behaviors.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized 1:1 support to a child with ASD, ensuring their individual needs are met.
- Implement strategies and interventions to support the child's learning and development.
- Assist the child with academic tasks, social interactions, and emotional regulation.
- Monitor and record progress, and provide feedback to the SENCO and class teacher.
- Collaborate with the SENCO, class teacher, and other professionals to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment for the child, promoting their independence and self-confidence.
- Maintain open communication with parents and caregivers, providing updates on progress and any concerns.

Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with ASD and challenging behaviors, preferably in a primary school setting.
- Extensive knowledge of SEN and experience implementing appropriate strategies and interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience to effectively support children with diverse needs.
- Relevant qualifications and/or training in SEN support and behavior management (desirable but not essential).

Salary and Benefits: The salary for this role will vary depending on the experience and qualifications of the candidate, ranging from £80 to £95 per day.
