Summary
We are looking for a dedicated Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team.
Role:
- Full-time position only
- Working hours: 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM
- Valid DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
- Must have previous experience working in a UK educational setting
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to students with complex needs, including Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Complex Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
- Support students in accessing the curriculum and engaging in classroom activities.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment.
- Provide personal care and assistance to students as required.
- Provide one-on-one support, assisting with classroom activities, and creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or SEN-related field.
- Previous experience in care work would be considered advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
