About the role
As one of the school’s Teaching Assistants, you will:

Be part of a team that specialises in the four areas of need.
Plan and deliver a robust programme of intervention.
Respond to students with immediate and emerging needs to ensure that all are able to access the curriculum, which is their entitlement.
Facilitate and evaluate a range of learning experiences that are carefully matched to students’ prior learning and current needs.
Contribute to the development and implementation of students' individual education plans.
Use assessment data to provide feedback, to set learning objectives and to plan further interventions in conjunction with teaching staff.

This is a 37 hour per week, 39 weeks per year, permanent role.

A colleague who insists on impeccable behaviour and has the highest expectations for our students
A colleague with experience of working effectively with young people
Someone who is excellent and experienced in communicating with students, families and staff to ensure that students flourish in all aspects of school life.
Educated to GCSE level English and Maths
An understanding of how to manage behaviour positively so as to maximise learning and to promote productive and respectful relationships
Enthusiasm for learning and the ability to enthuse and motivate students
An understanding of how best to support learning and assessment for learning in a range of subject areas
