About the role

As one of the school’s Teaching Assistants, you will:

• Be part of a team that specialises in the four areas of need.
• Plan and deliver a robust programme of intervention.
• Respond to students with immediate and emerging needs to ensure that all are able to access the curriculum, which is their entitlement.
• Facilitate and evaluate a range of learning experiences that are carefully matched to students’ prior learning and current needs.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of students' individual education plans.
• Use assessment data to provide feedback, to set learning objectives and to plan further interventions in conjunction with teaching staff.

   This is a 37 hour per week, 39 weeks per year, permanent role.

• A colleague who insists on impeccable behaviour and has the highest expectations for our students 
• A colleague with experience of working effectively with young people
• Someone who is excellent and experienced in communicating with students, families and staff to ensure that students flourish in all aspects of school life.  
• Educated to GCSE level English and Maths
• An understanding of how to manage behaviour positively so as to maximise learning and to promote productive and respectful relationships
• Enthusiasm for learning and the ability to enthuse and motivate students
• An understanding of how best to support learning and assessment for learning in a range of subject areas
