Summary


Are you an empathetic and compassionate Registered Nurse looking to work in an outstanding rated Trust? Tarrant Ward, based at Blandford Community Hospital are looking for either an experienced or newly qualified Staff Nurse to join our supportive team.

You will be working with a multi-disciplinary care team in a 25 bedded ward to ensure that the patient’s rehabilitation journey is individualised, and goals are achieved by the patients to reach their optimum level to return to their own home or suitable placement sourced whilst embodying the Trust’s values. We also provide end of life care to patients approaching their last days and weeks of life. Our Elderly Rehabilitation and End of Life Care unit achieved a nationally recognised accreditation in theGold Standard Frameworkaward for end-of-life care.

The Staff Nurse post is a part-time role, we would be flexible and accept a minimum of 22.5 hours. We have a variety of flexible shifts listed below.

Early - 07.30 – 15.30

Late - 12.30 – 20.30

Long Day - 07:30 – 20:30

Nights – 20.15 – 07.45

Weekend and public holidays at enhanced pay!

We are a 25 bedded ward and provide sub-acute medical care, rehabilitation, Palliative / End of Life care for the local community and also ambulatory care. We are committed to providing excellent standards of care for our patients and we know that to enable us to do this, the continuous professional development of staff in a supportive environment has to be a top priority for us and it is!

You will benefit from working with a very experienced team which benefits from the support of a dedicated medical team.

You will need enthusiasm and a commitment to provide the highest standards of care to patients, relative and carers, and the ability to provide professional clinical leadership. You will need to have an interest in working with older people and have good communication and organisational skills.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
