Summary

Digital Data Analyst – Pensions

We are looking for a talented and dedicated Digital Analyst that comes from a pensions or financial services background to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge on tagging the digital journey to drive personalisation, online marketing trends, analyse data for insights, create, and optimise marketing campaigns.

Initially as a data analyst you will be working closely with the digital design team and product owners to understand the long term personalised journey and reporting aspiration. You will identify the key data that is needed to achieve defined outcomes. You will then work with the team throughout development, to test the hypothesis and to ensure that the launched solution meets the initial need. Once the new solutions are live you will monitor the data, identify trends, respond to issues and develop the reporting suite.

What you’ll be doing:

• Engage with stakeholders, including product owners, UX designers, developers, and marketers, to understand project goals, user requirements, and business objectives related to pension services.
• Work with product owners and UX designers to define user stories that outline specific features, functionalities, and interactions within the pension service platform.
• Ensure that user stories include clear and detailed descriptions of tagging requirements, keywords, data needs, and metrics to be tracked for each feature.
• Define tagging specifications and data requirements for tracking user interactions, events, and behaviours across the pension service platform.
• Collaborate with developers and data engineers to implement tagging solutions and data collection mechanisms that capture relevant user data and metrics as per the defined requirements.
• Conduct keyword research and analysis to identify relevant search terms, phrases, and topics related to pension services and retirement planning.
• Optimize user stories, content, and metadata with appropriate keywords to improve search engine visibility, organic traffic, and user engagement.
• Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics aligned with project goals and user objectives, such as user engagement, conversion rates, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure that metrics are clearly defined, measurable, and enforceable for each feature within user stories, allowing for accurate tracking and evaluation of performance.
• Conduct quality assurance checks and testing to verify that tagging, keywords, data requirements, and metrics enforcement are implemented correctly and functioning as intended.
• Validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across different user interactions and touchpoints within the pension service platform.
• Document tagging specifications, keyword strategies, data requirements, and metrics definitions within user stories and related documentation for reference and clarity.
• Communicate tagging guidelines, data requirements, and metrics enforcement practices to cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and understanding of expectations.
• Monitor data analytics and performance metrics regularly to identify trends, patterns, and areas for optimization within the pension service platform.
• Iterate on tagging, keywords, data requirements, and metrics enforcement based on data insights, user feedback, and evolving project needs to continuously improve user experience and achieve project objectives.

What are we looking for:

• Understanding of the use of data to personalise journeys for the customer and ability to ensure the correct data is tagged to drive the agreed outcomes.
• Experience in web analytics and knowledge of the digital eco system.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in digital, data analyse and data visualisation.
• Understanding of site performance and search criteria.
• Ability to identify solutions to SEO challenges and strive towards an enhanced solution.
• Document tagging specifications, keyword strategies, data requirements, and metrics definitions.
• Communicate tagging guidelines, data requirements, and metrics enforcement practices to cross-functional teams.
• Experience of working within Financial Services
