Summary


An exciting full-time Band 7 HIV Charge nurse job opportunity has arisen in our HIV outpatient services provided by Homerton Healthcare. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone looking for a full time role in which they can make a difference to people living with HIV in our care. You will be supported by an experienced team of specialist doctors and nurses, within the department.

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, pro-active, self-motivated nurse to join the team as one of the key links in the chain of gold standard care. You will be expected to work as part of an extensive and supportive multi-disciplinary team to deliver person-centred care to patients with HIV who have multiple and complex health and social care needs.

You will have experience of safeguarding vulnerable adults and young people and have a solution-focused approach to problem solving.

Essential to this role is a strong background in HIV care with relevant training and excellent communication skills with which you will develop personal management plans that educate and empower patients and carers to increase confidence in self-care.

To work in conjunction with the HIV senior physician and the multidisciplinary team to co-ordinate the packages of care for HIV clients attending the department.

The post holder will work as an autonomous practitioner within a multidisciplinary team with responsibility for overseeing the HIV nursing team in the provision of on-going care to patients living with HIV in outpatient and community settings and work in close collaboration with the Lead Nurse for the continuing development of services to improve best care outcomes.
