Position: Security Officer
Locations: Telford and Shrewsbury
Pay Rate: £12.44 per hourWe are seeking experienced and dedicated Security Officers to join our team in Telford and Shrewsbury. This role is essential in maintaining the safety and security of our premises and requires a proactive and vigilant individual.Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure safety and prevent unauthorized access.
- Monitor CCTV systems and respond to alarms promptly.
Manage access control for visitors and staff, ensuring identification and authorization.
- Handle incidents and emergencies with professionalism and in accordance with protocol.
- Write detailed reports on incidents, daily activities, and irregularities.
- Provide first response to any disturbances while awaiting law enforcement when necessary.
- Engage with individuals on-site in a manner that is respectful and maintains safety.
Requirements: -
Proven experience in a security role.
- SIA License holder preferred.
- Strong understanding and sensitivity towards mental health issues.
- Excellent observation skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for extended periods and responding quickly to emergencies.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to de-escalate situations effectively.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.This role is physically demanding and requires an individual who not only brings experience in security but also has an understanding and sensitivity towards mental health challenges. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, allowing them to handle a wide range of situations with tact and professionalism.
