To provide support for a 19 year old young woman who is autistic with OCD & Mental Health needs
Main Duties:We are looking for an experienced, committed care worker to support a young woman, with additional needs, access appropriate activities both at home and in the local community. The young woman would like somebody to help her access social activities whilst promoting the development of her independence skills. She enjoys visiting coffee shops, would like to attend spa days and family would like her to engage with new opportunities. The suitable care worker will be proactive and consider the rising cost of living when planning activities with the young person. Preference would be for somebody with a caring, nurturing personality with a good understanding of mental health including depression, anxiety and pathological demand avoidance. The ideal applicant will need to be strong natured as the young woman can be abrupt with her comments and states what she feels/sees as fact.
Hours
- 5 hours per week x 52 weeks
- Additional 5 hours per week x 13 weeks (school holidays)
- 2 overnight periods per year
- £13.09 per hour.
- Holiday entitlement is 5.6 weeks per year pro-rata.
- Any out-of-pocket expenses will be paid by the employer.
