Summary
The payroll and pension’s team at Guy’s and St Thomas’ are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic payroll professional to step into a Deputy Payroll Manager role. Spanning Guy’s, St Thomas’, Evelina, Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals as well as our community services this role will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely remuneration for our dedicated staff. We also provide services to another NHS Trust and are looking to expand this service across the region.

In this role you will lead a team of skilled payroll officers, overseeing the accurate and efficient processing of payroll for our employees. Supporting the Payroll manager to influence positive change.
You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders and provide ongoing training and support to your teams whilst working alongside the Head of Payroll and Pensions to continually strive for service improvement.

• Provide direction and guidance to the payroll officers, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Collaborate closely with the Payroll Manager to develop and implement payroll and pensions strategies aligned with the Trust's goals.
• Manage the accurate processing of payroll for a diverse workforce, including staff across various roles and pay scales.
• Provide training and support for the payroll & pensions teams in utilising the ESR system.
• Stay up to date with changes in payroll legislation and pension regulations, adapting processes as necessary.
• Deal effectively with any complex queries for within the organisation.
