We are therefore significantly increasing our capacity to provide assessment and treatment across Coventry and Warwickshire for patients and their carers.

This is a newly established post providing emergency and planned community based treatments to clients. The post holder will provide nursing input into the community eating disorders service. The post holder will work across the eating disorder pathways (mild, moderate and severe).

The post holder will work with the wider MDT to provide monitoring and specialist nursing to patients with a diagnosed eating disorder. S/he may also contribute to the pathways for clients with severe and enduring eating disorders (SEED), act as a link worker for patients who are making the transition from CAMHS to adult services and offer assessment and intervention as appropriate to skill set across the additional pathways. The post holder will work with patients who are in the preparation phase for inpatient treatment or are likely to need admission in the near future and may be involved in post-discharge follow-up. The post holder will carry out specialist nursing assessments, plan and implement care, respond appropriately to crises, and maintain associated records.

The post holder will have responsibility for the day to day delivery of the service to individual clients and their families and carers via a range of evidence based interventions.
