Prince are looking for a skilled and experienced Quality Engineer to join a successful manufacturing business in Wolverhampton. As the Quality Engineer, you will be joining a small engineering team and reporting into the Quality Manager onsite.
Day to day you will be responsible for ensuring all products meet the required and specified regulations and are compliant with standards needed. You will be responsible for conducting product inspection, product audits to ISO9001, collect and analyse data, and investigate any defects with the aim to implement corrective actions.
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:
• Maintain and implement quality assurance processes to ensure all products meet required standards and regulations
• Carry out product inspections across the business
• Conduct quality audits when required
• Drive continuous improvement activities to enhance product quality and minimise areas of risk
• Collect and analyse quality data to identify trends and highlight areas of improvement
• Investigate any defects found and conduct route cause analysis and use CI methodology to implement corrective actions
• Ensure required quality documentation is kept up to date and maintained
Skills and Experience
• Must have a strong Quality background and have worked within a similar role
• Engineering or Quality related qualifications would be beneficial but not essential
• Familiar with ISO9001 will be ESSENTIAL
• Strong understanding of quality principles and tools will be ESSENTIAL (Lean, Six Sigma, FMEA etc)
• This role would suit someone who has previously worked as a Quality Engineer / Quality Technician / Quality Assurance Engineer / Quality Control Engineer
