Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic junior doctor to join our dynamic team providing inpatient general internal medicine and gastroenterology/hepatology, to the residents of Newham, east London. This full-time post will be available from2September 2024 – 31 August 2025. This innovative post is designed for doctors who are at ST3+/senior SHO/registrar level as a developmental opportunity prior to taking up a higher specialty physician training post. It is designed for doctors who will have completed internal medicine training (IMT) (or its equivalent). The post holder would be given the same training and on-call opportunities as the other Specialist Registrars (SpRs) on the North-East Thames (NET) gastroenterology rotation program, who are working in this hospital
The successful applicant will contribute to the acute General Medical service at Newham University Hospital (NUH). This involves full commitment to the general medical on call rota on a 1:6 frequency with prospective cover (ST3+ level). They will participate in the acute management of gastroenterology and hepatology inpatients. They will also look after general medical (GIM) inpatients aged
