We have exciting opportunities within MFT based at either Wythenshawe or Oxford Road sites for Full time Rotational Band 5 positions.

We are looking for forward thinking, dynamic team players who are already HCPC registered. You should have the ability to work within an MDT but also manage an independent caseload of at times complex patients. You need to be able to assess, diagnose, plan, and deliver treatment programs to patients in your care.

As part of large teaching hospitals, we are committed to providing excellent patient focused care. Each site offers a wide variety of rotations within each you will be supported closely by senior staff and the multidisciplinary team allowing you to develop clinical knowledge and skills. We are committed to CPD and provide tailored IST programmes, an active peer support group, preceptorship program for newly qualified staff and regular appraisals. You may be responsible for supervising non-qualified staff and students.

The individual will be an autonomous practitioner being professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of their professional and clinical work and therefore able to recognise their limitations. Once deemed competent you will contribute the weekend and on call rotas.

Both sites offer a wide variety of 4 or 5 month rotations across acute and specialist inpatient, ICU, outpatient, rehabilitation and community areas. Some of the rotations are off the main hospitals’ site.

To be able to competently assess patients and identify problems and agree objectives of treatment with the patient

To clinically reason, plan and carry out appropriate treatment programmes and techniques using evidence based practice, and identify safe and timely discharge plans.

To plan and prioritise own workload according to clinical need, and discuss relevant issues as required with a senior member of staff.

To participate in the on call and weekend working as appropriate

To understand the roles and work with the wider MDT.

To maintain confidentiality, dignity and professionalism at all times.

Have excellent communication skills with patients, families and the MDT

Maintain a high standard of documentation

To work well as part of a therapy team and the wider MDT
