Summary
At Cennox we are excited to be recruiting for a Warehouse Operative specialising in Projects Logistics at our busy and vibrant Manchester site close to the Trafford Centre. This position works normal office hours with opportunities throughout the year for overtime both during the week and at weekends. This is a 6 month fixed term contract with the possibility of going permanent.
You will be working under the day-to-day direction of the Product Distribution Manager and we are looking for an engaging and enthusiastic individual with a "can do" attitude to assist in the day-to-day operation of a thriving, fast paced warehouse department. The type of responsibilities you can expect to undertake are:
- Taking delivery of goods and storing them safely.
- Checking for damaged or missing items.
- Moving stock by hand or with machines.
- Loading/unloading vehicles.
- Reviewing inventory and collating for distribution.
- Preparing stock lists, materials and products for collection/delivery.
- Packing and wrapping goods.
- Assist with audits and corrective measures to ensure stock is accurate.
- Occasional field work at customer estates.
- Keeping records up to date using Excel and MS Office applications.
- Keeping the warehouse clean, presentable, and organised.
Working within a warehouse environment can be dangerous if health and safety measures are not in place, due to this, you must follow H&S guidelines and report any issues to your line manager. Although you will be working within a team, the right person will also be able to manage their own time, be a self-motivator and have excellent communication skills. The nature of this post will require someone who can load and unload heavy items so you will need to be able to lift boxes of up to 25kg. If you carry a Flexi/Bendi FLT licence, this would be advantageous but is not essential. Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution centre is also ideal.
