Summary

Hilti in Manchester ae recruiting for an Apprentice Warehouse Operative. The successful candidate will work towards their Level 2 Warehouse and Logistics which will take approximately 14 months to complete.

Duties:
• Work in Hilti’s Central Warehouse for GB
• Work in the warehouse team and in the different processes involving the inbound replenishment of inventory to the outbound shipping of deliveries
• As part of a team ensure that all inbound materials are received and put away every day and every customer order is fully shipped every day and on time.
• In the inbound receiving docks, process the material from the inbound trucks
• Operate the reach trucks to put away material and pick orders
• As part of the in the fast pick area select the correct order quantity and products or consumables to replenish stock or pick orders
• Work at the packing stations to pack the products and prepare the shipment
• Be involved in picking and packing of Hilti Centre replenishment orders
• Participate in daily cycle counts and investigate the differences with Distribution
• Fully commit and support all LEAN initiatives through maintaining standards, participating in Continuous Improvement processes and driving the business
• Work closely with the rest of the warehouse team and Distribution to help resolve any issues or complete specific customer requirements.
• Follow internal Hilti Best Practise requirements to support the customers’ needs and the warehouse’s performance metrics.
• Use SAP transactions in daily operations

Requirements:
• Basic functional expertise
• Need to show hard working and getting things done attitude
• Self-sufficient. Doesn’t need supervision
• Willing to learn, improve and follow new processes
• Logical thinker with a good attention to detail and high level of commitment
• Flexible to work in 2 shift operations and overtime
• Be willing to support the team during busy times; be a team player
• Be able to positively influence the rest of the team and be a role model

Grades:
No formal qualifications required.

Hours:
Rota basis Mon-Fri earliest start 7am latest finish 7pm / 30 min lunch / 37.5 hours per week
