Summary


We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic acute nurse who are looking to progress their career into education on a secondment role to support the delivery of education and training for our nursing workforce within the Directorate of Charing Cross Acute and Specialist Medicine. Predominately based at Charing Cross Hospital, you will also support directorate teams working at St Mary’s and Hammersmith Hospital. The successful candidate will be a credible acute care clinical nurse with a passion for delivering education and training. You will be supported by a senior clinical practice educator and the wider team to develop your academic practice and coaching and development skills and experience.

As one of the largest directorates within the Trust, you will have the opportunity to develop nursing practice across a number of clinical specialities and wards including, acute admissions, respiratory incorporating ARU, acute rehabilitation, medicine for the elderly, gastro and endocrine wards. In addition, you will support our specialist MDT teams providing dermatology, frailty, respiratory and allergy care across the Trust

To act as a role model for delivering high quality care through strong education leadership, evidence-based training and education, and effective coaching and assessment in clinical practice.

To be an expert practitioner and change agent in general and acute medicine, promoting lifelong learning.

To support newly qualified staff in the clinical floor to ensure that they achieve their full potential in clinical effectiveness.

To work collaboratively with the nursing directorate education team in ensuring that the Trust’s strategic goals for training, development, and education are implemented locally in a fair and equitable way.

To work in partnership with the nursing placement lead to ensure nursing students, nursing associate trainees, and return to practice students receive a dynamic, comprehensive, and excellent clinical placement support to achieve and surpass their objectives in line with the NMC Future Nurse standards.
