Summary


An exciting opportunity to join our busy General & Emergency Surgery department at Northwick Park has arisen following a recent expansion to our General Surgery services. We are recruiting for a Full Time Locum Consultant General Surgeon (10 PA’s). The post holder will need to have wide experience of all aspects of emergency general surgery care. An interest in Elective gastrointestinal surgery, either upper or lower, would also be desirable.

Although the role is based at our Northwick Park site, the successful candidate may be required to attend any one of our Trust sites to meet the needs of the service.

• To participate on the General Surgery on-call rota
• To attend relevant MDT and x-ray meetings
• Ward rounds of existing inpatients
• Outpatient clinics and elective theatre lists
• Supervision and training of junior doctors , senior nurse practitioners and physicians associates
• Audits and research
• Clinical Governance
