Job Purpose:

This opportunity is in the solution design and development arena for Lead Company Accountant who will play a major role with the technical design and development of the company’s technical offerings. The role is based at our Leicester office with occasional assignments at client locations.

Job Description (Main Duties and Responsibilities):

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial data and reports.
Present financial results to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators and trends.
Assist in the development of annual operating budgets and long-term financial forecasts.
Monitor budgetary performance and variance analysis, identifying areas for cost savings or revenue enhancement.
Provide insights and recommendations to management to support strategic planning and decision-making.
Manage accounts payable functions, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and reconciliation of vendor accounts.
Oversee accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and reconciliation of customer accounts.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, tax laws, and internal controls.
Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and reviews of financial statements.
Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures to mitigate financial risks and ensure accuracy of financial records.
Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with payroll regulations and tax requirements.
Coordinate with HR and finance teams to address payroll-related inquiries, deductions, and benefits administration.

Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed [The candidate must demonstrate these in all stages of assessment]

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Proficiency in financial software applications and ERP systems; experience with QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle is a plus.
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data analysis and reporting.
Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Qualifications:  Bachelor's degree or above in the UK or Equivalent.
