Summary

Randstad C&P are currently recruiting for a dedicated and motivated Assistant Site Manager to work alongside an established site team on various commercial projects across the Oxfordshire region! As an Assistant Site Manager, the selected applicant will work closely with the Site Manager to ensure the successful delivery of commercial build projects in the Oxford region, ranging from new build education schemes to office refits and conversions. Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Site Manager in overseeing all aspects of commercial build projects from inception to completion.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Assist in the coordination of project handover and closeout activities, including snagging and client walkthroughs.
  • Monitor and enforce strict compliance with health and safety regulations on the construction site.
  • Support the Site Manager in resolving any issues or challenges that may arise during the construction process.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, site diaries, and records of meetings.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a similar role within the construction industry, with experience working on commercial projects being essential to the role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and construction management software.
  • Valid CSCS managers' card and relevant construction qualifications (e.g., SMSTS, First Aid).
  • A proactive and results-driven attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
