Summary
Our client is looking to employ a Pig Stockperson for their farm in North Yorkshire (YO51).
They have a 300-sow breeding-to-finishing indoor pig unit and an arable farm. The family have been in pigs for 30 years and has invested in good modern buildings for the future.
They are looking for a stockperson who can work alongside the manager and carry on the successful production.
Training can be provided for those with less experience.
Candidates will ideally have:
Experience with pig husbandry across all aspects
Good communication skills
Be able to work in a team
Demonstrate a strong work ethic with great attention to detail
High welfare standards
Salary guide: £29,000 - £31,000 depending on experience.
Our farmer is looking for someone local who can commute to YO51, or a two-bedroom static caravan on-site would be available.
