Summary
Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Care Home Assistants to provide support and care for individuals in our new care home in Kettering. As a Care Home Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our clients. This is a paid position that offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Duties:
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Administer medication according to care plans and document any changes or concerns
- Accompany clients to appointments or outings as needed
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and their families
- Basic IT skills to document care plans and communicate electronically if required
- Knowledge of home care practices and procedures
- Ability to follow care plans and adapt to changing needs
- Proficient in English (additional language skills may be a plus)
- Familiarity with care home environments
