Summary
We are looking for a Import Supervisor/Team Leader for our Client based in Colnbrook.
Tuesday to Saturday (07:30/08:00 - 16:00/16:30 (30 Minute Lunch Break)
Import Team Leader/Supervisor responsible for overseeing the logistical processes associated with adhering to customs regulations, ensuring strict compliance of legal requirements and working to local and global policies. Additional responsibilities will be supervising staff, liaising with HMRC to make amendments and reclaims, additionally you will be regularly monitoring and checking the import warehouse operation. This is a structured role that requires engagement with logistics teams across the business to ensure strict compliance to implemented processes and procedures.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Perform and complete daily customs clearance entries start to finish for all courier and cargo imports (Air & Road)
- Supervise staff who are completing daily customs clearance entries start to finish for all courier and cargo imports (Air & Road) - Monitoring Duty and VAT using internal systems/software
- Responsible for all customs requirements, dealing with border force, EU customs.
- Ensuring import compliance and HMRC regulations are adhered to.
- Communicate with all relevant internal departments with regards to shipments
- Liaise with Airlines for BI and Shed transfers
- Arrange airline collections for transfer to ETSF
- Liaise with HMRC and other government bodies.
- Dealing with a variety of commodities
- Weekly bond checks ETSF warehouse
- Release shipments from the warehouse
- General warehouse duties where required (predominantly office based role)
- Deal with all queries quickly and efficiently
- Provide a high level of customer service
- Self-managing and pro-active
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Filing, and other general administrative duties.
- Competent with IT
- Assist Management when required & provide cover where required
Essential:
- Previous Courier Import experience
- Low value bulk clearance (BIRDS) experience
- Proficient in using CDS
Desirable:
- Experience with Descartes (e-customs)
- NCTS - T1s

- Hourly rate as above (not age dependent)
- 28 days Paid Annual Leave pro-rata for PAYE (inclusive of statutory holiday)
