The Opportunity
Company client currently is seeking a Configuration and Product Development Project Leader on behalf of one of our Aerospace clients based in Broughton.
This role offers the exciting opportunity to work on major modifications, industrial problems, in-service problems, and modifications affecting the Final Assembly Line. Given the varied and far-reaching nature of this role, it presents a fantastic opportunity for personal and career development.
The Role
As the Project Leader your core role will involve driving product modifications through the Aircraft Change Process. You will directly represent the Single Aisle Wing value-stream modifications management team. You will be working with a wide network of cross-functional and transnational stakeholders including Configuration Management, Chief Engineering, Programme Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Operations.
Your responsibilities will span from idea generation to the point of embodiment on the aircraft. You'll be accountable for ensuring on-time, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery. This role primarily focuses on "Flow" modifications that impact Wing production, including major assembly suppliers such as Broughton Plant and China Wing.
About You
You should have strong project management skills and a PMP qualification would be highly desirable. An understanding of the aircraft change process with a general appreciation for configuration management is essential, thus an existing ACC2 and/or ICC_ACP user would be highly desirable. Additionally, a technical understanding of the wing design and manufacturing processes would be desirable.
