Description
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Construction Health and Safety Advisor to join our team. As a Construction Health and Safety Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our construction projects and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations. Your attention to detail and strong knowledge of safety protocols will contribute to the success of our projects and the well-being of our employees.
In this dynamic role, you will work closely with project managers and site supervisors to identify potential safety hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks. You will conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and provide guidance and training to staff on best practices. Additionally, you will be responsible for investigating any accidents or incidents and providing recommendations for improvement.
Responsibilities
Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to identify and eliminate safety hazards
Develop and implement comprehensive site-specific health and safety plans
Provide guidance and training to staff on health and safety protocols and procedures
Oversee the use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and provide recommendations for improvement
Keep up-to-date with relevant health and safety legislation and ensure compliance
Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to develop and implement safety improvement initiatives
Conduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
Proven experience as a Health and Safety Advisor in the construction industry
Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Certification in First Aid and CPR
Ability to travel to multiple construction sites as needed.
Hours Per Week: 35.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £24.58
