Pay Rate: £11.44 per hour PAYE/National Minimum Wage Applies

Hours per week: 37 Monday – Friday, normal working hours

Role Length: This opening assignment is for up to 3-4 months

City: Matlock, Derbyshire

This role is advertised as full time however we will accept candidates looking for part time work based on a minimum of three days a week.

To provide administrative and other support where co-ordination, interaction and awareness of related activities are important.

As part of role will be required to assist with organising musical tours and attending events which could be in the evening. Assist with organising residential music courses and summer activities with your line managers.

Key responsibilities:

Receive and respond to phone calls from schools and music teachers.
Arranging instrument hire for pupils and schools. Processing bursaries for pupils on lower incomes.
Finance experience would be an advantage but not essential. Finance tasks as delegated by line manager.
Assist with organising Wind Band and CCYO auditions.
Assist with all business service tasks relating to the music partnership service for schools, pupils and teachers.
Following DCC’s procedure to complete DBS checks/rechecks for all teachers – annual declarations.

Qualifications:

Good general standard of education to GCSE standard in two suitable subjects (Maths and English preferred).



Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
Ability to plan and organise own work to produce a high level of output to quality standards.
Appreciation of the standards of conduct and output of the role and familiarity with work priorities and those of colleagues.
Effective communication skills.
Working knowledge of relevant systems, equipment processes and procedures.
Ability to quickly up new systems and processes.
Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
