About the service user
R is an 88-year-old lady who lives with her family in Cambridge. R is living with Lewy Body Dementia and requires support with her memory and cognition. R experiences panic attacks and cannot be left alone in the property. R speaks a very particular dialect Kathiawadi Gujarati - this has similarities with Gujarati and R can mostly understand this; R does not speak English. Family and her culture are very important to R.
Hours and Rate of Pay
33 hours per week 11 hrs per day 3 days per week Job Share up to £14.50 per hour DBS clearance & references required
What you would be doingSupport to help R to feel safe, promote personal safety, supervision, meal preparation, provision of drinks, continence and personal care and ad hoc duties as required. Establish a close working relationship, trust and understanding on a one-to-one basis.
The person I would like
Some knowledge and experience of supporting others with dementia. Someone who has a calm and considerate nature.
