Assistant Headteacher Role Overview: As the Assistant Headteacher, you will play a pivotal role in the leadership team, driving the school's vision forward and ensuring the highest standards of educational excellence. You will collaborate closely with the Headteacher to oversee all aspects of school life, with a particular focus on student welfare, academic progress, and staff development.

Key Responsibilities of Assistant Headteacher:

  • Provide strategic leadership in line with the school's vision and values.
  • Lead and inspire colleagues, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Support the implementation of effective teaching and learning strategies.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of specific areas, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Play a key role in promoting the school's ethos of inclusivity and diversity.
  • Actively engage with parents, carers, and the wider community to foster positive relationships.

Requirements of Assistant Headteacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant postgraduate qualifications.
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a school setting.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills with a focus on innovation and collaboration.
  • A passion for promoting the holistic development of all students.
  • Experience in Special Educational Needs Coordination (SENCo) is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
