Summary


As a Healthcare Assistant Facilitator you will be part of a team to support in delivering excellent fundamental patient care through the induction and training of new HCA starters to the Trust.



Assist in delivering HCA induction training providing underpinning knowledge, practical skills and behaviours and values to new HCA starters.

Assess learners’ performance against Care Certificate standards using robust assessment practices to support timely achievement

Provide clinical support to new HCA starters to role model clinical practice and improve standards of patient care

• Assist in delivery of specific HCA induction training sessions to groups of new HCA starters using pre-planned lesson plans.
• Liaise with HCA Facilitators on HCAs to observe for the Care Certificate, or those HCA new starters that may need additional observations and support
• Work clinically alongside HCA’s to demonstrate and role model the delivery of a high standard of patient care, ensuring patient safety is maintained and patient experience is positive in accordance with the Trust values.
• Assist the HCA’s development of clear and concise patient documentation in regards to (but not limited to) the care given, supportive advice, concerns and any escalation.
• Assist with the understanding and the HCA’s role in recognising and reporting of any observed changes in the patient’s condition or expressed concern.
• Provide feedback and written evidence on clinical performance observed to reinforce skills and identify any areas for development
• Liaise appropriately, and in a timely manner with HCA Facilitators on HCA new starters including raising any issues concerning clinical practice or additional support required
