UHBW –Consultant in Diabetes & Endocrinology and General Internal Medicine


University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Trust is delighted to have the opportunity to be able to appoint a Substantive consultant to join our well established multi-disciplinary diabetes & endocrinology team. This is a full-time (10PA) post and will offer exposure to specialist secondary and tertiary diabetes and endocrine services in our dynamic and thriving teaching hospital. This is a new substantive post for a Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology. The post is full-time (10PA) and is based at the Bristol Royal Infirmary although some clinical sessions could be delivered at Weston General Hospital. Candidates who wish to work less than full time are also encouraged to apply.

The post is to cover the specialty outpatient and in-patient work, as well as general medical inpatient work at UHBW. The clinical department currently comprises 5.0 WTE NHS consultants. Accreditation in Diabetes & Endocrinology and General Internal Medicine is required, although applicants within six months of gaining CCT will also be considered. The post-holder will participate in the general medical on-call rota.
