The Client: I am currently looking to speak with an experienced Estimator on behalf of our client who is a leading construction company based in Greater Manchester. With a focus on quality craftsmanship, innovation, and client satisfaction, our client specialises in delivering high-end residential , infrastructure and commercial projects across the North West.

They are therefore looking for a skilled and experienced Estimator to join their dynamic team.

Job Description:

As an Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in the pre-construction phase of the projects. Working closely with the project managers, architects, and subcontractors, you will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs and preparing competitive bids. Your attention to detail, analytic skills, and industry expertise will be essential in ensuring the profitability and success of our clients construction projects.

Responsibilities:

- Reviewing project plans and specifications to understand project scope and requirements.
- Conducting thorough material take-offs and labour estimates for each project phase.
- Soliciting and evaluating subcontractor bids and proposals.
- Collaborating with project managers to develop accurate project budgets and schedules.
- Providing timely and accurate cost estimates for client proposals.
- Analysing cost data and market trends to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
- Participating in project meetings and providing ongoing cost analysis and recommendations.

Requirements:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software (e.g., Procore, Conquest etc).
- Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and building codes.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
