Summary

We are recruiting for a CIMA/ ACCA qualified Finance Business Partner from a practise background to join a leading distributor of worktop surfaces based at their Head Office in Newcastle under Lyme on a full time permanent basis.

As Finance Business Partner you will be working Monday to Friday 8.30am-5pm offering a salary of £60k per annum plus excellent benefits as below.

Reporting into the Finance Director, you will be responsible for implementing, developing and providing commercial financial analysis on KPIs giving data driven insights to aid decision making. Your main duties will be as follows:

- Provide FP&A finance support related to productivity, demand planning, reporting, and metrics in a timely manner.
- Identify and understand business challenges; propose and create solutions.
- Partner directly with the finance team to collaborate on metrics, goals, and business reviews.
- Dive deeply into financial data and become a subject matter expert to provide additional insights.
- Create presentations that provide insightful analysis, identify required action items, and effectively frame decisions to be made.
- Identify and research variances to forecast, budget, and prior-year expenses, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with teams at all levels of the organisation.
- Build and maintain the budgeting and forecasting model
- Provide insights into business challenges through scenario modelling, and ad hoc analysis.


We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:

- Previous experience in a Finance Business Partner role or similar
- ACCA/ CIMA qualified
- Practise background
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience
- Microsoft Excel / Word / PowerPoint / Outlook
- Knowledge of a variety of accounting packages
- Team management experience
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month end / year end close process
- Excellent data analysis skills
