Summary
The Nabs Head in Preston are recruiting for an Apprentice Chef. The successful candidate will work towards their Level 2 Catering and Hospitality qualification which will take approximately 16 months to complete.
Duties:
• Assisting with the preparation and production of fresh food
• Made to order dishes
• Shadowing and learning from the head chef
• General kitchen duties
• All aspects of food safety, how to store and prepare food safely for our customers
• Transform a set of ingredients into amazing food
• All aspects of baking
• Safely use commercial kitchen equipment
• Allergen awareness
Requirements:
• Confident to work in a fast pace environment and able work under pressure.
• Clean and hygienic and presentable
• Willingness to learn and have a passion for food
• Reliable and hard working
• Teamworking
Grades
Thee are no formal qualifications required.
Hours:
Working Days between Wednesday - Saturday, 1 or 2 hour breaks dependant on shifts. 30 hours a week
