What you will be doing:
* Develop a strategy (in conjunction with the overall business strategy) with the Operations Director
* Lead each business unit in line with the Company vision, ensuring accountability and progression
* Use data to make commercially driven decisions
* Ensure adherence to all relevant policies and procedures
* Foster a culture of ownership and accountability
* Regularly review each BU to ensure that they meet the required standards and recommend changes where necessary
* Develop and maintain the organisation’s structure and processes and support with effective management succession
* Provide reports and statistics to the Operations Director
* Adhere to all manufacturer targets and franchise standards to ensure any related bonus are achieved and audits successfully
passed
Objectives:
* Achieve the Sales volumes of used cars
* Ensure all retail cars are correctly located for maximising margin
* Work with each centre to ensure correct pricing strategies are implemented
* Achieve used purchasing targets from brands with HOB support
* Maximise Motability purchasing to achieve rebate targets
* Agree volumes with leasing companies for SOR and purchases
* Be key point of contact for all major bulk deals and designated leasing companies
* Work closely with Norton Way Group Finance and Credit Control colleagues to ensure that all payments are recovered within the
agreed credit terms period
* Ensure that all essential systems and processes are utilised effectively and continue to evolve with the needs of the business
* Control all remarketing opportunities for Norton Way
Areas of accountability:
Be responsible for the well-being, performance and success of the colleagues at your site.
* Maximising stock ROI by ensuring right stock and right place policy
* Ensure every retail opportunity stays in group/RRG and HPL
* Manufacturer – maximise purchasing opportunity with each franchise
* Group - Motability Finance purchases
* Manage relationship with Carwow and Motorway
* Focus on finding solutions and achieving results, rather than making excuses or placing blame.
* Show personal commitment to the success and well-being of team members, and to the security of the Company.
* Keep all commitments and promises made to others.
* Potential problems should be immediately communicated to senior management.
