Senior Controls Engineer - Facilities Management - Stevenage - £50,000 Plus excellent benefits

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the largest Facilities Management companies in the UK at one of their prestigious clients' sites based in Stevenage who are experiencing significant growth.

Salary: £50,000 plus excellent benefits

Benefits: 25 Days Holiday + BH, Company Pension, Company Sick Pay, Flex Benefits Scheme.

Location: Stevenage

Hours of work: 8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage the workload of the Controls team including assigning and scheduling tasks / checking on quality and quantity of work carried out, raise work orders.
  • Assisting with business impact assessments (For plant shutdowns or equipment downtime)
  • Carry out reactive work and maintenance PPMs to the BMS system.
  • Provide technical service and support on the BMS system for the maintenance team across the operation.
  • Providing the team with metric data and assisting with them to achieve the numerous KPI's and SLAs on the account.
  • Manage the critical and general alarms on site.
  • Control access to the BMS System alongside the BMS team.
  • Assist with site minor works projects teams and capital projects if required.
  • PLC / VSD commissioning and install for end-of-life replacement.

The successful candidate:

  • City & Guilds 18th Edition 236 Part 1&2 or Mechanical equivalent where applicable.
  • BMS system qualifications (Honeywell, Trend, Metasys Etc)
  • Previous experience managing a team of engineers.
  • Proven experience in a Controls Engineer role.
  • Knowledge of the BMS system is essential, preferable Metasys.
  • Good IT skills including Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Previous experience in an FM environment is essential, pharmaceutical is desirable.
  • An understanding of current Health and Safety regulations and the ability to work unsupervised.
  • The ability to work to prescribed service level agreements.
