Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Urology Oncology team, supporting the Clinical Nurse Specialists with Secretarial support.

This is a varied role and you will provide an efficient secretarial service working alongside other medical secretarial staff, Clinical Nurse Specialists, consultants and the operational team.

You will need to be an enthusiastic and motivated team player with excellent organisation and communication skills, in addition to having the ability to prioritise your own workload effectively.

To act as the primary point of contact for patients and medical staff on behalf of the Clinical Nurse Specialists and the wider team ensuring that all queries are answered with skill, sensitivity and in a courteous and professional manner.
• • Typing and dispatch of clinical correspondence related to NHS medical patients within agreed timescales and quality standards.
• Liaising with patients and health care professionals via phone and email alongside picking up and responding to messages.
• Monitoring and actioning the generic email account, escalating where appropriate.
• Monitoring and actioning patient pathway.
• Fetching and preparing notes for clinic.
• Diary management.
• Minuting team meetings.
• General administrative duties including but limited to; filing, scanning, photocopying, ordering and replenishing stock and stationary.
